City to Bay 2017
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the City-Bay fun-run. 300,000 South Australian’s have taken part in the event over the past 10 years and each year the event brings the community together in the name of fun, fitness and fundraising. Since starting in 1973 the event has raised over $6M for charity and supports grass roots athletics in south Australia.
To celebrate this significant anniversary SA Fun Runs are offering participants free finishers t-shirts and the funnest after party yet with new entertainment and attractions for the whole family at Glenelg. The City-Bay is for everyone; runners and walkers, young and old, fundraisers and fun seekers, the fast and the slow – everyone is welcome.
For participants wishing to take part in the 6km run, the starting point is at Kurralta Central. It is advisable to arrive early to ensure you are ready to go when the 6km run starts.
Prepare for the race by joining in with the Anytime Fitness trainers' pre-race warm up, commencing at 8am near the 6km start.
Faster runners will be asked to move to the front - your start will be at just after 8:30am when deemed appropriate by the EM.
Walkers and wheelchair participant start time will be 9.15am.
Your course will take you from Kurralta Central Shopping Centre to Morphett Road where you will then cross over to the Southern Carriageway, and finish at Colley Terrace, Glenelg.
